Pomegranate

My nearby supermarket (Safeway) had buy one get one free sale for pomegranate, so I got two of them.

There are so many pomegranate products out there now, but this was my first time ever that I tried the actual fruits. Do they sell this in Japan? I don't think I've ever seen it in the supermarkets.

I wasn't sure how to eat this fruits, so I just cut it half.

* I googled on it afterward, and it seems the best way to get the edible part out is to cut the top of the pomegranate, then cut thin layer on the skin. You can then break them into smaller pieces by hands, and take the small fruits out.

The edible part resembled much like corns. Each of those little piece contained tiny seed, so it was pretty troublesome to eat them. My husband and housemates hated this troublesome fruits, and ended up I was the only one eating it.

I have one more pomegranate in my fridge, and I'm thinking of bringing it to work to share with my coworkers tomorrow.

I participate in blog ranking in Japan.
